Students have always been at the centre of taking system dynamics forward. The final afternoon of the annual conference is devoted to the student colloquium where students can present their research, either ongoing or completed. Students may also compete for an annual prize for the best piece of student work in system dynamics, with the winner announced at the student colloquium, during the annual conference. A variety of topics are presented, see the list of past prize winners. Students may also present posters at the annual conference.
Recent annual conferences have included an “Introduction to System Dynamics” session. This may be of interest to students, especially those just starting out in system dynamics.
The chapter policy council has two student representatives, ensuring that students take an active role in running the chapter. The student representatives may be contacted by email for further information.
If you are a student member of the SD Society, or a student interested in SD, it is recommended that you should visit the Student Chapter website and join a very active international group.
