Apologies for very short notice.
We are having an informal network event in Edinburgh on Monday 19 October, to which anyone interested in any aspect of System Dynamics is most welcome.
There will be two meetings.
At 14.00, there will be an opportunity for people specifically interested in SD model building to discuss Developments in SD Software. Knowledge/experience of building models will be assumed, and the meeting may have a technical flavour.
Participants will include Robert Muetzelfeldt (Simile and Systo) and Kim Warren (SYSDEA, Strategy Dynamics)
From 16.00 – 18.00, there will be a broader discussion. Depending on the attendance, we will cover
- Presentation of some recent SD work in Systems Architecture (Kim Warren) and Health and Social Care Integration (Douglas McKelvie)
- A round-table discussion of what we can do to promote awareness of System Dynamics in Scotland (starting from the assumption that there currently are few practitioners here, certainly, few who are known to the SD Society)
University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation, Old High School, Infirmary Street Edinburgh EH1 1LT (Room name – The Pod)
Anyone interested is free to attend this event.
Following the meeting, we may adjourn for some refreshments nearby.
If you want to attend this event, simply email:
Please include very brief details about your interest (student, researcher, practitioner, teacher, job title, subject). Please state whether you plan to attend from 14.00 or 16.00.
Places will be confirmed by reply.
There is no charge. Tea and coffee can be purchased at the venue.
